About the boat

The RS Vision is 15 feet (4.55m) long, a stable and roomy boat with roller reefing jib and reefing main, handy if there's too much wind for you and a gennaker for extra fun if there's not!


Rigging the boat

I had nightmares the first time that I tried - and now wonder what the problem was ... so don't despair!

This handy document provides details on rigging the boat.

You only need to look at pp. 27 - 36 from "Hoisting the Jib" to "Ready to Sail" although, if you want to tackle the gennaker, section 5.6 from p.39 to p.41 will be worth a look too.

Reefing

Please ignore the instructions in the manual above - our sail doesn't have a zip! Here's how it's done

Finally, as with any problem, if you're stuck do feel free to ask someone - I had to!
